Base gas fee estimator
Gas price not loaded yet — click “Live gas”.
Estimate = gas price × gas limit. On Base, the L1 data fee adds a small extra amount that varies with Ethereum L1 calldata costs, so treat this as a close approximation of the L2 execution fee.
Live fee market (EIP-1559)
Real base fee from the latest block + priority-fee tiers from recent blocks. Click a tier to use it in the estimator above.

Tiers use eth_feeHistory reward percentiles (25/50/75) over the last 5 blocks, plus the latest block's base fee. On Base these are the L2 execution fees — the L1 data fee is extra and usually dominates on cheap transactions.
FAQ
What is gwei?
Gwei is a denomination of ETH used for gas prices. 1 gwei = 10⁹ wei = 0.000000001 ETH. Gas on Base is usually a tiny fraction of 1 gwei.
Why are Base fees so cheap?
Base is an optimistic rollup: it executes transactions off Ethereum mainnet and posts compressed data to L1, so you pay a small L2 execution fee plus a share of the L1 data fee.
How much gas does a transaction use?
A plain ETH transfer uses 21,000 gas. ERC-20 transfers are ~46,000–65,000, DEX swaps ~100,000–250,000, and contract deployments can exceed 1,000,000.
Does this tool send my data anywhere?
No wallet connection, no tracking. It only fetches the public ETH price and the current Base gas price from public endpoints; everything else runs locally.
☕ Support this tool — USDC on Base
Free forever. If it saved you time, pay what you want — even $0.10 helps keep it online.
Send USDC on the Base network only (chain ID 8453). No minimum.
✅ Payments are verifiable on-chain. Every USDC transfer to this address is a public Base transaction — check BaseScan or any Base explorer. This tool never sees your wallet; it just displays the address.
